RESTORE + STRENGTHEN
ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS WELCOME
A blend of restorative and strengthening yoga postures - we open practice with Anusara Invocation mantra, listen or chant along. We close with live crystal singing bowls to seal your practice with deeper relaxation.
There are times slow down yet we push against nature's cycles and we speed up because there's so much to do.
Slow it all down. Come in slow, leave slow. If you wish, bring a book or explore the bookstore we are practicing in - there is 15 minutes before and after class.
Pay attention to your experience. Your attention is your everything.
WHY GO SLOW? Relaxation is necessary for the body to restore and regenerate. While we will practice strengthening exercises, we'll also make time for play and exploration of longer held postures to make noticeable differences in the body and mind. Slow the breath, the body, the thoughts, honoring nature's ability to restore and heal.
All the while, your heart knows how good this is for you.
MORE ON YOGA AND THESE CLASSES
YOGA is a system for self-transformation. The physical practice of yoga postures, which incorporate focus and concentration, help tone, strengthen and increase flexibility in both body and mind. This class is open to all levels, including beginners and the advanced.
You are encouraged to find your level of challenge through postures and breath. Your yoga practice will help you release tension and facilitate a deep relaxation while strengthening both body and mind.
A main goal of yoga is self-awareness. To provide an appropriate level of challenge for each person, you will be reminded to stay aware and in-tune with your body as you honor where you are at right now. Modifications are suggested for each pose to meet different levels of experience.
